The upcoming SUV shares its platform with the electric GT sedan, previewed by last year’s GT XX concept. Both vehicles will utilize AMG.EA, Mercedes’ dedicated electric platform, and compact axial flux motors from YASA, a British company acquired by Mercedes. High-end versions of the SUV are expected to deliver up to 1,341 horsepower, rivaling hypercar performance figures.
