Kia’s popular K4 sedan is getting a slight price increase for the 2026 model year, though the changes remain minor enough to keep the car among the most affordable options in its segment. Through November, buyers have purchased over 126,919 K4s, making it the second best-selling vehicle in Kia’s lineup after the Sportage. The base price will now start at $22,190 — an increase of $200.
Trim-Level Changes
The adjustments aren’t limited to the base LX model. The EX trim now begins at $24,390, up $400. In exchange, buyers get standard SynTex upholstery, heated front seats, and a rear armrest. The GT-Line ($25,390) also receives SynTex upholstery, while the GT-Line Turbo ($28,290) sees revisions to its Technology Package that include a heated steering wheel.
Buyers can also opt for an upgraded interior for an additional $295 on cars equipped with the $900 Sunroof Package, offering a new red and black color scheme. A $1,200 Premium Package on the GT-Line adds a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a heated steering wheel.
Engine Options
The K4 offers two engine choices. The base 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 9.6 seconds. The more powerful GT-Line Turbo features a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, cutting the sprint to 62 mph to 8 seconds. Both engines are paired with either a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or an eight-speed automatic, depending on the trim.
Standard Features
Even in its most basic form, the K4 LX comes equipped with LED headlights, air conditioning, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a suite of safety features including Forward Collision Avoidance, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Lane Keeping Assist. The LX also includes a Rear View Monitor with Parking Guidelines and Rear Occupant Alert.
The K4’s success hinges on its affordability and value. While the price increase is present, it does not change the fact that the K4 remains a competitive option for budget-conscious car shoppers. The vehicle has proven popular with customers, and the 2026 model appears to already be on dealer lots.
All prices exclude a $1,195 destination fee.
